Rates

Rates for remote online or face-to-face sessions at my Boise office:

$185 per 75-minute couple or individual session.

Payment

Cash, checks, and credit cards are accepted at the time of your session.  

Insurance

Please note that the vast majority of medical insurance policies do not reimburse for marital or couples therapy, as it is not considered to be “medically necessary.”

In Emotionally Focused Couples Therapy (EFCT) the relationship is the heart of the matter rather than any individual pathology; i.e. psychiatric diagnosis, As such I do not bill claims to medical insurance for marital or couples therapy. If you have a Flexible Spending Account or Health Savings Account, you may be reimbursed with the proper documentation that I can provide.

I do accept Blue Cross for individual therapy sessions where there is a legitimate psychiatric diagnosis. Other medical insurance plans may reimburse you on an out-of-network basis. I can provide the necessary documentation so you are able to submit a claim to your medical insurance, Flexible Spending Account or Health Savings Account. To determine your insurance plan's coverage please contact your insurance company directly. 

Cancellation Policy

If you are not able to come for your scheduled therapy appointment and you have not notified me at least 24 hours in advance, you will need to pay a cancellation fee equal to half the scheduled appointment rate to continue counseling.
